POEM: Because I Am a Woman

My menstruation is mine,

Because I am a woman.

My female body is mine,

Because I am a woman.

My femininity is mine,

Because I am a woman.

My maternity is mine,

Because I am a woman.

My pregnancy is mine,

Because I am a woman.

My childbirth is mine,

Because I am a woman.

My breastfeeding is mine,

Because I am a woman.

My motherhood is mine,

Because I am a woman.

My womanhood is mine,

Because I am a woman,

And it is not up for debate.
