I go grocery shopping.
I listen to the radio in my car.
The radio host says,
Look out the window to the West.
And I do.
I am mesmerized.
I see the most astonishing sunset in the city of Toronto ever.
It is breathtaking.
The sky is on fire.
I park the car in the parking lot at the supermarket.
I take pictures.
I capture the gorgeous sunset.
When I’m done with the grocery shopping,
I post the picture with the phenomenal sunset on my social media.
The picture is unfiltered.
It shows its raw and genuine beauty.
Then I scroll my social media feed.
Facebook, Instagram, the likes.
The sunset is the topic of the day.
Dozens and dozens of pictures of the fiery sunset in the city of Toronto.
This is a sunset to remember.
From my book of poetry Sunset in Toronto (2021), page 159.
