Accessity Is Holding a Final Liquidation Sale in Toronto This Month

Accessity commenced its retail life as Leggings, a retail store specializing in hosiery. In 1980, hosiery was mostly purchased at department stores with little to no service. stuFF Student Film Festival 2012
Introducing the first annual stuFF Student Film Festival 2012 – submissions open February 6, 2012
WalkMyCampus.com is Canada’s premier online post-secondary community
Toronto, ON; January 25, 2012 – In search of the next Cronenberg, WalkMyCampus.com (WMC) is calling all aspiring student filmmakers, introducing the first annual stuFF Student Film Festival 2012. Submissions will open on February 6, 2012, 9:00am EST, welcoming entries of short films (maximum 15 minutes in length) created by Ontario post-secondary students between the ages of 18 – 35. There is no fee to participate in the festival, an intentional component to ensure all interested students have an equal opportunity to submit. The films will be judged by fellow WMC members through an online portal and Amir Azimi, Canadian premiere filmmaker (who has worked throughout the globe) and Executive Producer of BFP (Brothers on Fire Productions). An exclusively online film festival, WMC will promote the chosen films and announce the winner through their online community (additional details and deadlines to be announced in the coming weeks).
Amir Kendic, founder of WalkMyCampus.com, says: “Walk My Campus is devoted to the creation of forums to highlight the vast talent of post-secondary students. stuFF is an ideal platform to share the works of tomorrow’s next great filmmakers with the world!”

Ce se intampla cand te muti la casa noua

Daca ati urmarit blogul meu Tango in ultimele doua luni, spuneam intr-un articol de luna trecuta ca mi-am luat de curand casa noua. Acum locuiesc intr-o suburbie a Toronto-ului, Whitby, iar eu si familia mea tocmai am petrecut primele noastre sarbatori la noua noastra casa.
Prima casa este un pas important in viata oricarei persoane, si la fel este si pentru noi – pentru mine, pentru sotul meu si pentru copilul nostru. Nu mai platesc chirie, ci platesc rata la banca; si cu fiecare luna care trece, realizez ca am cu o rata mai putin de platit si sunt mai aproape de ziua cand casa mea va fi achitata in intregime. Este un sentiment de siguranta pe care nu l-am trait pana acum niciodata, si pe care nu poti sa-l traiesti atunci cand locuiesti cu chirie. Cand stai intr-o locuinta inchiriata, platesti si platesti si platesti aceeasi suma (sau mai mare, ca niciodata chiria nu se va ieftini, ci eventual se va scumpi) pana la infinit. Dar cand ti-ai cumparat casa ta pe care o platesti in rate, sentimentul de siguranta pe care ti-l da ziua tot mai aproape cand iti vei fi achitat casa in intregime si nu va mai trebui sa platesti acea suma lunara este de nepretuit (exact ca in reclamele MasterCard).
Cand te muti la casa ta, se intampla multe lucruri frumoase asociate cu mutarea la noua ta locuinta. Bineinteles, depinde si de locul (sau tara) unde ti-ai cumparat casa. La doua saptamani dupa ce ne-am mutat, am primit visita unei doamne care reprezenta comunitatea locala. Scopul vizitei dansei a fost sa ne ureze bun venit la noua noastra casa si in comunitatea din Whitby unde ne-am mutat. Mi-a adus un cos intreg cu tot felul de mici cadouri, precum si informatii utile, din partea membrilor stabiliti ai comunitatii locale – farmacii, magazine, cabinete medicale, saloane de frumusete, prestatori de servicii, etc. M-am ales cu o gramada de pliante cu informatii care imi vor fi de folos de acum incolo, cu privire la toate aspectele vietii noastre din Whitby. Am mai primit scrisori de bun venit de la Doamna Primar a orasului si de la deputatul care reprezinta zona noastra in Parlament. Am primit mai multe invitatii de la cabinete medicale sau saloane de frumusete care imi ofera primul tratament gratuit daca devin pacienta sau clienta lor. Iar printre cadourile pe care le-am primit au fost tot felul de mici chestii dragute cum ar fi cupoane, carnetele, magnetei pentru frigider, mostre, produse cosmetice si de ingrijire, produse pentru animale (am pisica), etc.
Unul din cadourile pe care le-am primit a fost de la o farmacie din Whitby – o punga cu mai multe mostre si mini-produse (Vichy si La Roche-Posay), plus o scrisoare din partea managementului farmaciei in care ma invita sa vin la sediul lor pentru o sedinta de machiaj si pentru un al doilea cadou de bun venit. Am mers weekendul trecut la farmacia respectiva sa-mi primesc cadoul. Nu am stat si pentru sedinta de machiaj, pentru ca nu aveam timp; dar in schimb cadoul pe care l-am primit era foarte dragut – o punga eleganta (nu de hartie, ci una re-utilizabila) cu mai multe mostre si produse, printre care un blush, un parfum de poseta, o crema 60 SPF La Roche-Posay.
Iar un alt cadou pe care l-am primit este din partea unui salon de frumusete din Oshawa, o alta suburbie a Toronto-ului, oras vecin cu Whitby. M-au sunat sa-mi ureze bun venit in comunitatea din Whitby, si sa ma invite la un tratament cosmetic gratuit la salonul lor. Am stabilit o programare pentru weekendul viitor la acest salon, pentru o sedinta complexa de frumusete. De-abia astept sa merg.
Si mai am cupoane similare de la alte doua saloane de frumusete din Whitby, care ma invita la cate un tratament cosmetic si de frumusete gratuit. O sa profit si de aceste oferte, si voi merge la aceste saloane in urmatoarele saptamani.

Versace for H&M collection is still available in Toronto
Good news for Torontonian fashionistas! I just discovered a curious thing – some Versace for H&M items are still available in the H&M store from Bloor Street in Toronto. Yesterday while out I went to the said H&M store. I had a look around, there were a few items I liked, I asked details about the upcoming David Beckham and Marni for H&M collections, they confirmed their store will host both of the collections. The other two H&M stores from Toronto that will feature these collections are H&M from Yorkdale Mall and from Toronto Eaton Centre – the 3 of them are the largest H&M stores in Toronto and the only ones that usually feature the designer collections from H&M.
And then, just out of curiosity but not thinking for a second that I actually would get a positive answer, I asked if they still had any items left from the Versace for H&M collection. And they said yes! I was really surprised to find them in there, as I thought that the entire collection was gone since November!
There are a few items left, some dresses and some shoes, all of them on sale, reduced from $159 and $179 to $30. I tried two dresses, but unfortunately none of them fit. As to the shoes, I liked the black booties very much, but there was only one pair remaining, and not in my size; so I didn’t buy anything. But I thought I would share it with you – if someone is interested, you can still shop for Versace for H&M on Bloor Street in Toronto!

Ieri, in timp ce eram in oras, am intrat la magazinul H&M de pe Bloor Street din Toronto. Motivul pentru care am intrat la H&M a fost sa aflu detalii despre noile colectii designer care vor urma in curand, si anume David Beckham (in februarie) si Marni (in martie). Mi-au spus ca magazinul lor va gazdui cele doua colectii alaturi de alte doua magazine H&M din oras – cele de la Yorkdale Mall si de la Toronto Eaton Centre. Cele 3 magazine H&M sunt cele mai mari din oras, si de obicei sunt singurele din Toronto care gazduiesc colectiile in colaborare cu designeri H&M (cum a fost si cazul colectiilor Lanvin si Versace).
Dupa ce m-am mai uitat putin printre rafturi, am intrebat din curiozitate daca mai au ceva ramas din colectia Versace for H&M. Nici prin gand nu mi-a trecut ca voi primi un raspuns afirmativ, am intrebat doar pentru ca eram acolo si intrebarea imi statea pe limba. Si aveau! Eram convinsa ca s-au vandut toate inca din noiemrbie! La magazinul H&M de pe Bloor din Toronto se mai pot cumpara cateva piese din colectia Versace for H&M – rochii si pantofi (vedeti pozele mai jos), la reducere. Toate articolele erau reduse de la $159 si $179 la $30. Am probat doua rochii, dar nu mi-a venit nici una bine. Cea bleu era prea scurta pentru gusturile mele, iar modelul celei rosii (care la magazin era pe mov) avea decolteul prea mare. Mi-au placut botinele negre, dar din nefericire nu aveau masura mea, asa ca pana la urma nu mi-am luat nimic. Dar m-am gandit sa scriu despre gaselnita mea, in cazul in care ar interesa pe cineva.
In afara de piesele din pozele de mai jos, mai aveau un costum deux-pieces roz (fusta mini si top) si sandale argintii, acelasi model ca si cele negre.

And then, just out of curiosity but not thinking for a second that I actually would get a positive answer, I asked if they still had any items left from the Versace for H&M collection. And they said yes! I was really surprised to find them in there, as I thought that the entire collection was gone since November!
There are a few items left, some dresses and some shoes, all of them on sale, reduced from $159 and $179 to $30. I tried two dresses, but unfortunately none of them fit. As to the shoes, I liked the black booties very much, but there was only one pair remaining, and not in my size; so I didn’t buy anything. But I thought I would share it with you – if someone is interested, you can still shop for Versace for H&M on Bloor Street in Toronto!
See below a few pictures of those items that I saw in there yesterday. Besides those, I also saw a pink suit (mini-skirt and top) and silver sandals (same style as the black ones).

Ieri, in timp ce eram in oras, am intrat la magazinul H&M de pe Bloor Street din Toronto. Motivul pentru care am intrat la H&M a fost sa aflu detalii despre noile colectii designer care vor urma in curand, si anume David Beckham (in februarie) si Marni (in martie). Mi-au spus ca magazinul lor va gazdui cele doua colectii alaturi de alte doua magazine H&M din oras – cele de la Yorkdale Mall si de la Toronto Eaton Centre. Cele 3 magazine H&M sunt cele mai mari din oras, si de obicei sunt singurele din Toronto care gazduiesc colectiile in colaborare cu designeri H&M (cum a fost si cazul colectiilor Lanvin si Versace).
Dupa ce m-am mai uitat putin printre rafturi, am intrebat din curiozitate daca mai au ceva ramas din colectia Versace for H&M. Nici prin gand nu mi-a trecut ca voi primi un raspuns afirmativ, am intrebat doar pentru ca eram acolo si intrebarea imi statea pe limba. Si aveau! Eram convinsa ca s-au vandut toate inca din noiemrbie! La magazinul H&M de pe Bloor din Toronto se mai pot cumpara cateva piese din colectia Versace for H&M – rochii si pantofi (vedeti pozele mai jos), la reducere. Toate articolele erau reduse de la $159 si $179 la $30. Am probat doua rochii, dar nu mi-a venit nici una bine. Cea bleu era prea scurta pentru gusturile mele, iar modelul celei rosii (care la magazin era pe mov) avea decolteul prea mare. Mi-au placut botinele negre, dar din nefericire nu aveau masura mea, asa ca pana la urma nu mi-am luat nimic. Dar m-am gandit sa scriu despre gaselnita mea, in cazul in care ar interesa pe cineva.
In afara de piesele din pozele de mai jos, mai aveau un costum deux-pieces roz (fusta mini si top) si sandale argintii, acelasi model ca si cele negre.

Jason Wu for Target
2012 is the year of designer collaborations. H&M has already announced their collaborations with David Beckham (due in February) and Marni (due in March), but this year’s excitement does not stop here – the Jason Wu for Target collection will hit the Target stores on February 5th 2012. It’s a ready-to-wear collection, apparel and accessories (handbags and scarves), and I find it very attractive. Except for one thing – I’m not a big fan of this “shoes and socks” style, I have never worn shoes and socks in the same time and I will never do. But otherwise, I really like this collection, and I will try to get a hold of some of these pieces when the collection launches in Target stores.
The prices will be very affordable -- $19.99 to $59.99 for apparel and $19.99 to $49.99 for accessories.
They say the collection will be available in stores only from February 5th through March 6th, but something tells me it won’t last that long. Bet on my last penny it will sell out within hours, just like it happened with Lanvin for H&M in 2010 or Versace for H&M in 2011 – it’s already a pattern.

H&M si-a anuntat deja colectiile in colaborare cu David Beckham (in magazine in februarie 2012) si Marni (in magazine in martie 2012), dar noutatile din acest registru nu se opresc aici. Jason Wu lanseaza in curand o colectie in colaborare cu lantul de magazine nord-american Target. Este o colectie ready-to-wear, care cuprinde atat imbracaminte, cat si accesorii (genti si esarfe). Colectia Jason Wu for Target va fi lansata in magazinele Target din SUA si Canada incepand cu 5 februarie 2012.
Colectia mi se pare cat se poate de draguta si purtabila, cu exceptia unui detaliu – nu ma incanta moda sosetelor combinate cu pantofi. Nu am adoptat niciodata acest stil, si nici nu intentionez sa o fac vreodata. Dar dincolo de asta, colectia imi este pe plac. Preturile vor fi destul de accesibile -- $19.99-$59.99 pentru haine si $19.99-$49.99 pentru accesorii.
Unele surse mentioneaza faptul ca aceasta colectie va fi disponibila in magazine pentru doar o luna – incepand cu 5 februarie pana pe 6 martie 2012. Dar ceva imi spune ca nici nu va rezista atat de mult in magazine, daca nu cumva va fi vanduta pe nerasuflate chiar din prima zi, in ore, asa cum s-a intamplat cu Lanvin for H&M sau Versace for H&M.
Jason Wu este un tanar creator de moda american de origine taiwaneza, care si-a inceput cariera de designer in 2006. La varsta de doar 29 de ani, este deja un darling al modei americane. Printre clientele sale se numara Michelle Obama, Ivana Trump, actrita si modelul Amber Valetta. André Leon Talley, binecunoscutul editor de moda al revistei Vogue USA, care este si consilierul de stil al cuplului prezidential american, este cel care l-a prezentat pe Jason Wu lui Michelle Obama.
O alta colaborare designer pe care Jason Wu a realizat-o in trecut este colectia Jason Wu for Creative Nail Design din mai 2011.
